Specialized Training Course on First Aid and International Humanitarian Law Concludes in Tripoli

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Libya, in cooperation with the Libyan Mine Action Center, organized a specialized training course on first aid and the concepts of international humanitarian law. The course was held from June 29 to July 2, 2026.
The program targeted 12 staff members from the Libyan Mine Action Center, aiming to strengthen their field capacities, enhance their skills in providing first aid, and deepen their understanding of the principles of international humanitarian law. It also introduced participants to the humanitarian role undertaken by the ICRC.
The course concluded with the distribution of participation certificates and first aid kits to the trainees, in recognition of their commitment and active engagement. This initiative reflects the importance of investing in the capacity-building of national staff and reinforcing their readiness to carry out humanitarian and field tasks with efficiency and professionalism.
