Handover of War Remnants Clearance Certificates for Two Land Plots in Al-Skeirat – Misrata
As part of the national efforts aimed at risk removal and land safety, the Libyan Mine Action Center (LibMAC) handed over clearance certificates from landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW) for two (2) land plots located in the Al-Skeirat area of Misrata, in favor of the Libyan Ports Company.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Director of the Center, Brigadier Khalil Al-Shibli, and Engineer Mohammed Hamidan, following the completion of survey and clearance operations carried out by the Libyan Peace Organization (LPO). These operations included the removal of war remnants and ensuring that the land is free from any threats that could hinder investment or safe use.
This achievement comes within the Center’s plan to enhance community security and support development projects, as land clearance contributes to enabling national institutions to utilize the land for infrastructure and service projects, thereby enhancing stability and serving the public interest.
