Libyan Center Issues Land Clearance Certificate for Tripoli Zoo Site

As part of national efforts to enhance public safety and rehabilitate vital areas, the Libyan Center for Mine Action and War Remnants, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense, officially handed over a Certificate of Land Clearance for the Tripoli Zoo site on October 9, 2025. The handover ceremony took place at the Abu Salim Municipal Council headquarters, in the presence of the Mayor of Abu Salim and local officials.
This achievement follows the completion of technical survey and clearance operations carried out by the 3F Free Fields Organization, under the supervision and monitoring of the Quality Management Team at the Libyan Center. All procedures were conducted in accordance with national and international standards governing mine action and the disposal of explosive remnants of war.
The event marks a significant step toward restoring the site and reopening it to the public, reflecting the Center’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and ensuring a safe environment for all.
