Strengthening Cooperation Between the Libyan Mine Action Center and DCA Humanitarian Organization
As part of the ongoing collaboration between the Libyan Mine Action Center and the Danish Church Aid (DCA) humanitarian organization, the Director of the Center welcomed a high-level delegation from DCA’s senior management on Monday, October 27, at the Center’s headquarters.
During the meeting, the Director expressed his warm welcome to the visiting delegation and discussed ways to further enhance joint cooperation between both parties. The session included a review of upcoming activities, areas of collaboration, and the progress of ongoing operations. The DCA delegation conveyed their appreciation to the Director for his continued efforts in supporting and implementing mine clearance programs and joint humanitarian initiatives.
The visit also included two field activities: the first involved monitoring combat area clearance operations in the Wildlife Neighborhood – Airport Road, accompanied by the Center’s Quality Assurance team. The second took place in the Swani area, where the delegation observed a mine risk education session conducted by DCA’s awareness team at a local primary school, with the participation of the Center’s Quality Assurance and Media & Awareness departments.
These visits reaffirm the importance of strengthening joint cooperation and raising public awareness about the dangers of mines and remnants of war, contributing to the creation of a safer and more stable environment in Libya.
