Misrata – As part of continued efforts to remove war remnants, approximately 3 tons of explosive ordnance were discovered during mechanical clearance operations conducted by HALO Trust at the Air College in Misrata. The disposal of these hazardous materials was carried out in coordination with a Turkish specialist team, under the supervision and presence of the Libyan Center for Mine Action and War Remnants – Central Region Branch, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense.
The disposal operation took place in the Kararim area east of Misrata, as part of the center’s strategic plan to safeguard civilian lives. This initiative reflects the collaborative efforts between national institutions and international partners to ensure the safe removal of explosive threats and restore security to affected regions.
