The workshop aimed to clarify the principles and mechanisms necessary for reviewing and updating the current Libyan National Mine Action Standards, originally developed in 2015 by UNSMIL\u2019s Mine Action Section. The existing standards consist of 22 chapters and 18 related annexes. Discussions focused on aligning these standards with the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), while introducing new chapters that reflect the priorities and strategic direction of the Libyan Mine Action Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This workshop marked a significant step toward strengthening technical governance in Libya\u2019s mine action sector.
