On March 11, 2025, the British Military Attach\u00e9 visited the HALO Trust, which carries out mechanical clearance work for explosive remnants of war (ERW), particularly at the Misrata Air College. These efforts are supervised and monitored by the Libyan Mine Action Centre (LibMAC).
On the sidelines of this visit, the British Military Attach\u00e9 met with the Director of the LibMAC. The Director welcomed the Attach\u00e9 and his accompanying delegation and praised the efforts of the British government in supporting humanitarian mine clearance efforts in Libya, particularly as it was the first to support mine clearance operations through the HALO Trust. He emphasized that such large-scale projects require advanced training and high-quality capabilities to protect operators, which contributes to enhancing community stability and safety.
This visit reflects the ongoing cooperation between the two sides in the field of mine and ERW clearance, which is an important step towards achieving peace and security in areas affected by armed conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n
