Libyan Mine Action Center Hands Over Clearance Certificate for Land Plot at the Wildlife Park in Tripoli

As part of ongoing mine action activities, the Libyan Mine Action Center (LibMAC) handed over a clearance certificate for landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW) on Sunday, 26 January 2026, for a land plot located at the Wildlife Park in Tripoli, in favor of the Tripoli Public Services Company.

The handover followed the completion of survey and clearance operations conducted by the local organization Al-Thiqa Al-Amna (Safe Trust). The operations included the removal of landmines and explosive remnants of war and confirmation that the site is free from any hazards, in accordance with approved national and international standards for mine action.

This step forms part of the Center’s ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and secure vital sites, enabling the competent authorities to utilize them safely in the provision of public services, while contributing to stability and improved quality of life for citizens.
