Implementation of a Training Program to Enhance Awareness of the Risks of Landmines and Explosive Remnants of War

A training program was implemented targeting (19) female trainees from the Office of Social and Psychological Specialists at the Ministry of Education – Abu Salim Education Monitoring Office, in coordination with the Office of Social Service and Mental Health.

The program included specialized training on raising awareness of the risks of landmines and explosive remnants of war, aiming to enhance awareness of the threats resulting from contamination by war remnants and to strengthen participants’ knowledge of safe and appropriate behavior when encountering such hazards.

This activity was implemented by the Libyan Peace Organization, under the supervision of the Libyan Center, and with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as part of efforts to build the capacities of social and psychological specialists and enable them to effectively carry out their professional and awareness-raising roles in protecting the community, particularly children and students.
